Istanbul Airport to the city: metro, Havaist, taxi and private transfer

The M11 metro runs from the airport towards Gayrettepe and Kağıthane; Taksim and Levent need a change. It means stairs and transfers with luggage, and there is no service at night.

Havaist buses leave for Taksim, Sultanahmet (Beyazıt), Kadıköy and other hubs. They are cheap, but you complete the last stretch from the stop to the hotel yourself and there can be queues at busy times.

The taxi rank is outside the exit; the fare runs on the meter and depends on traffic. At busy times it takes a while to get a car.
